The Uttar Pradesh Board on Thursday dropped the class 12 assessment.

The choice was taken at a gathering led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in which Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma, who holds charge of the Secondary Education division, was additionally present. 

Extra Chief Secretary, Information, Navneet Sehgal revealed to PTI that "assessment for the UP board class 12 has been dropped." 

Almost 26 lakh applicants are enlisted for the class 12 board tests in the state. 

The state had a month ago dropped class 10 UP Board test following which almost 30 lakh applicants, who had enrolled for it, were elevated to class 11. 

Many state sheets have dropped the class 12 test after the Union government on Tuesday chose to drop the CBSE Class 12 board tests in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic with Prime Minister Narendra Modi declaring that the choice has been taken in light of a legitimate concern for understudies and that the tension among understudies, guardians and educators should be put to an end.

उत्तर प्रदेश बोर्ड ने गुरुवार को 12वीं की परीक्षा रद्द कर दी।

मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ के नेतृत्व में हुई बैठक में यह फैसला लिया गया जिसमें माध्यमिक शिक्षा विभाग का प्रभार संभालने वाले उपमुख्यमंत्री दिनेश शर्मा भी मौजूद थे.

अतिरिक्त मुख्य सचिव, सूचना, नवनीत सहगल ने पीटीआई को बताया कि "यूपी बोर्ड कक्षा 12 के लिए मूल्यांकन हटा दिया गया है।"

राज्य में कक्षा 12 की बोर्ड परीक्षाओं के लिए लगभग 26 लाख आवेदकों को सूचीबद्ध किया गया है।

राज्य ने एक महीने पहले यूपी बोर्ड की 10वीं कक्षा की परीक्षा छोड़ दी थी, जिसके बाद लगभग 30 लाख आवेदकों ने, जिन्होंने इसके लिए नामांकन किया था, 11वीं कक्षा में पहुंच गए।

केंद्र सरकार द्वारा मंगलवार को COVID-19 महामारी के बीच सीबीएसई कक्षा 12 बोर्ड परीक्षाओं को छोड़ने का फैसला करने के बाद कई राज्य पत्रक ने कक्षा 12 की परीक्षा छोड़ दी है, जिसमें प्रधान मंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने घोषणा की है कि चुनाव एक वैध के आलोक में लिया गया है। छात्रों के लिए चिंता और छात्रों, अभिभावकों और शिक्षकों के बीच तनाव को समाप्त किया जाना चाहिए।
