An examination concerning the supposed assault of a 14-year-old young lady in Ghent, Belgium, is in progress after five individuals - including three minors - were captured, as per public investigators and nearby media reports.
The little youngster committed suicide four days after the assault, which occurred on May 14, East Flanders Public Prosecutor's office told CNN.
CNN subsidiary media source RTL Info detailed the young lady was assaulted in Westerbegraafplaats graveyard in Ghent, subsequent to organizing to meet with a companion. She was then joined by four other people who accepting pictures as they assaulted her and shared them via online media, the detailed added.
Police had the option to distinguish the suspects from these pictures, as per the report.
"Three minors were set in a shut foundation by the adolescent appointed authority in Ghent and two grown-ups (both 18 years of age) were captured by the examining judge in Ghent for offenses that would have happened right away before the passing of the person in question. The committee chamber in Ghent chose today that the confinement of the two grown-ups will be stretched out by one month," the workplace of the East Flanders Public Prosecutor said in an explanation Wednesday to CNN.
The two grown-up suspects were accused of "assault, profane attack and the taking and sharing of pictures prone to establish an assault on the trustworthiness of an individual" and have no earlier feelings, RTL Info announced.
Belgian Justice Minister Vincent van Quickenborne on Tuesday communicated his response on Twitter, stating, "Repulsive. No words for it. My contemplations are with the loved ones. Suspects have been captured and the examination is progressing. Equity should and will be reached.
"I approach casualties of sexual viciousness: document an objection. There are individuals prepared to help you in sexual consideration places. Equity will do everything to catch and rebuff culprits.
